This is a background I colored for the episode Destination Imagination.

A blade for hire

Another photoshop painting. I started with a pencil sketch, which I kept a little rough. Then I created a value study. Finally I added some color and highlights. Enjoy.

Rhyenia

Here is a character sketch of Rhyenia I'm working on for ROG.

-Little is known of her. Those closest to her describe her as reclusive, usually keeping to herself, preferring the company of her two feline companions over that of other humans.

Rhyenia calls Gull Port her home, though she spends much her her time roaming the lush forests of the High Hills.

Sources say that she was once a warrior for the Greater Noble House Corvus but has since been exiled. Though no one knows for sure, there are no shortage of rumors.

Rhyenia was last seen near Kilnford.

A wight

Here's another image I did for ROG, which was created entirely in photoshop.

In most of my paintings I usually do a pencil sketch first, scan that into the computer and then paint behind it using Photoshop.

I'm trying to improve my skills as a painter in hopes of getting a better grasp of forms. This is the first painting in a series that I plan to do using only Photoshop.

Ornella

Tony wrote a really cool story, "Death in Tar Mira: Chapters 1 & 2." It has strong main characters and a cool storyline. I can't wait to find out what happens next. I did a sketch of Ornella, who Vahan meets along the way.

Guardsman Sudak

"Though relatively few in number, Imperial Guardsmen were feared and respected, it being generally acknowledged that one Guardsman was the equal of four highly skilled warriors. However, this fear extends beyond the physical threat of harm, as Guardsmen were believed to be able to discern the thoughts and desires found in the hearts of others. Runes of power were engraved upon the flesh of Imperial Guardsmen, granting them mysterious protections. While the runes on Guardsmen were magical, Guardsmen themselves were incapable of using/casting magic."

My flash experiment is up!

My flash project "Moonvale" is finally up! Check it out at andymation.com.

This has been a fun project for me. Over the last few years I've been dabbling in Actionscript 2.0 (AS2), the programming language for Flash, in an effort to learn game programming. I bought a few AS2 books and read every tutorial I could find online. This isn't a complete game, more like an exercise. I hope you enjoy going through Moonvale just as much as I had fun creating it!

Runes of Gallidon goes Beta

Runes of Gallidon is finally up. I'm really excited about this project. The idea is to build a community where artists can share creative ideas centered around a central theme. In short, it's an open source, user-generated fantasy world. The best part is that any artist contributing a work retains ownership of that work!

I was cleaning up my laptop and stumbled across this bg I colored awhile back.

So long, farewell

Foster's has come to an end after almost five years of fun. I will really miss everyone on that show. I'll especially miss my morning walks with friends to Starbucks. Sadly, I had to leave before we finished the final episode, but I can't wait to see how it turned out.

I recently started a new project with some friends which is taking up most of my time. We had this crazy notion of starting our own business. The project is called Rune of Gallidon, an online fantasy world driven by the artistic community. I'll keep you posted as we get closeer to launch.
